La DuquesaDuquesa is on the Costa del Golf for one reason and that is, it is a perfect location for golf in Spain. It boasts more than 35 courses within half an hours car drive, including many of the top clubs including Valderamma. This house is situated on the course which holds one of the rounds of the European Seniors tour Duquesa. The beautiful port of Duquesa is between two clean blue flag beaches complete with beach bars and seems a million miles away from the hustle and bustle you would normally expect from the Costa del Sol. The port boasts a wide choice of amenities including a supermarket, banks, butcher and a wide choice of affordable top class restaurants which include 2 Indian, 3 Chinese, 6 Italian, English and not forgetting Spanish cuisine. There is also a great Italian ice cream shop as well as boutiques and numerous bars. Duquesa is fast becoming a favorite with golfers due to the proximity of some of Europe’s finest golf courses. Combine this with the beautiful and peaceful setting of Duquesa itself and it is no surprise so many golfers are coming back. Duquesa’s own golf and country club is a championship 18 hole Robert Trent Jones course and overlooks the Mediterranean with views out to North Africa and Gibraltar. It is a nice course to play for professional and novice players alike. The beaches are just a 10-minute walk via a footbridge, there are no major roads to cross, where you can take a stroll to the Chiringuitos that serve mouth-watering seafood. Duquesa Marina is a further few minutes stroll along the sea front. A further five minutes walk along the sea front takes you to the beach promenade of Sabinillas, filled with restaurants and tapas bars. Sabinillas is a friendly place giving visitors a taste of real Spain. On Sunday mornings it holds an open-air market. A short drive of 15 minutes takes you to Estapona to the old town, shops, bars, port/marina, beaches and promenade and Sotogrande with its golf courses and marina and excellent restaurants is only a 10 min drive in the opposite direction. A 20-minute drive to Puerto Banus for designer shopping, a marina which houses mega yachts such as those owned by the Saudi royal family and a chance to dine out at some of the most exclusive restaurants in this part of Spain. Alternatively just take a drink at one of the many quayside bars and count the number of Ferraris, Maseratis and Bentleys that go by. Only a 20 minute

and the airport. Where branded whisky costs only £5 a litre and
